How do I remove a Gemini watermark from an image?

Does this work for Nano Banana images?

Try an original Nano Banana image downloaded through Gemini if it has the same visible four-point star. CleanClip matches the visible mark, not the model name. Other logos, invisible identification and images without a clear matching star are not supported. Nano Banana outputs have not yet been separately validated across versions.

Can I remove the star without cropping?

The export keeps the decoded image dimensions and edits only the detected watermark region. There is no crop or full-image blur. The PNG export avoids an additional lossy JPEG compression step, but detail already lost underneath a watermark cannot be guaranteed to return.

Which image formats and sizes work?

PNG, JPG and WebP files up to 20 MB and 16 megapixels, with each side at least 96 pixels. The result is a still PNG. Animated WebP exports only a still frame. Image metadata and original color profiles are not preserved. HEIC, SVG and GIF are not accepted.

Is the image uploaded or stored?

Processing happens on your device. CleanClip does not receive your image. The first run downloads the cleanup engine. Refreshing or closing the page clears the current result, so save your PNG before leaving.

Why is an outline still visible?

A recompressed or edited image may no longer match the original overlay. Start with the original download. If a border or altered texture remains, keep the original and do not repeatedly clean the same file. Review the magnified area before saving.

How do I save the image on my phone?

Save image opens the native share sheet when your browser supports file sharing. Choose the available Photos or download action. Otherwise the PNG downloads to Files or Downloads. The exact save choices depend on your phone.
