Can I turn off the Gemini watermark?
Check the setting before creating a new video. Use a remover for an existing clip.
Where is the setting?
On the Gemini website, open Settings, then Media Watermark. Turn the visible watermark off if your account offers the switch. Google documents this setting for images, videos and music created in Gemini Apps.
Why is the switch missing?
Google says that in India, South Korea and Vietnam the setting requires an AI Ultra subscription. Availability can differ by region and plan. Check the current Google watermark settings instructions for your account.
What about a video I already downloaded?
Changing a setting does not edit a file saved earlier. For a short clip with the Gemini sparkle, use the Gemini watermark remover. Choose the original export, compare the result and save the MP4.
Does this setting cover Google Flow?
Google’s instructions say this setting applies to Gemini Apps, not AI features in other products. For a Flow export you already have, check whether it has the supported sparkle or a written Veo logo.
Does turning it off remove AI identification?
No. Google distinguishes the visible logo from SynthID and Content Credentials. Turning off the visible mark does not disable those identification layers. CleanClip also targets the visible sparkle, not invisible AI identification.
